A great effort by the Newcastle Knights was not enough, going down to Canterbury-Bankstown 16-12. The game was only 5 minutes old when the Bulldogs opened the scoring but it didn't take long for the Knights to hit back with one of their own.
Leading 12-10 with only 10 minutes on the clock it looked like the Knights were going to defeat the Bulldogs again but the Bulldogs showed why they are on top of the table, scoring the match winner through Aiden Tolman.
So another disappointing result for the Knights but only going down by 4 is not so bad against the ladder leaders.
Were the Knights unlucky not to win or was the Bulldogs never die attitude the difference?
