Like the Knights, Canberra opened the 2014 season with a loss. But Ricky Stuart has kept the faith with the side that lost to the Cowboys and selected an unchanged side.
The difference between Canberra and North Queensland in Round 1 was Johnathan Thurston, simply without JT on the paddock, Canberra would have won. Although Newcastle had a big win in a trial 3 weeks ago against Canberra in Tamworth, I expect this will be a lot different.
Players to watch out for are Anthony Milford at fullback, Terry Campese at half back and back-rower Josh Papali.
Dan Tilse and Joel Edwards will be up for big games coming up against their old club while Brett White will play his 50th game for the Raiders.
Newcastle may look to attack the left side of the Green Machine where youngsters Edrick Lee and Matthew Allwood are positioned. Another player the Knights will focus their attack on is five-eight Jack Wighton. Still finding his feet in the top grade, he can expect a lot of forward traffic running in his direction.
Where do you think the Knights should aim their attack and who is the player to watch in the Green Machine?
