The NRL season kicked off last night and if there is one thing that all the teams must be aware of, is that you must be ready to play or you will get belted. Souths showed the premiers that last night.
The Knights have been ready and waiting to play for over 2 weeks now and they are sure to be up for it, there’s no doubt. They have a good record against Penrith with 22 wins from 38 encounters. Panthers have recruited big in the off-season, new combinations have been formed, one in particular is in the halves with Soward and Wallace. This paring could take a month or two to gel into a good partnership. This could play into the hands of the Knights who have pretty much the same lineup as last season bar Dobson at 6 and Gidley at 9.
So for mine, Newcastle will be too good for the Panthers. It won’t be a runaway victory but a hard grinding affair. Who do you think will win and by how many?
