Panthers at home

  • Panthers at home

The NRL kicks off tonight with old rivals Rabbitohs v Roosters but for the Knights fans the big game is Saturday afternoon.

Penrith have been busy recruiting in the off season and will unveil a few new combinations for Round 1. The main focus will be on their new halves pairing of Jamie Soward and Peter Wallace. Both players have their critics and will be out to prove a lot of them wrong. One thing they both possess is a great kicking game. Mix that with a strong forward pack containing Brent Kite, Sika Manu and Tim Grant, they have a well balanced side which means the Knights could be in for a real battle to start season 2014.

One place Newcastle is sure to test the home side will be in the air with Matt Moylan at fullback now replacing Lachlan Coote and on the edges where ever Jamie Soward is in the defensive line.
