There’s only 10 more sleeps to go until Newcastle kick off their 2014 premiership crusade, I can’t wait, the players can’t wait and anyone that can wait probably shouldn’t be on this website.
I expect a big army of red and blue supporters will make their way down to Penrith Park for their Round 1 joust. This season’s draw has been pretty kind to the Knights and the fans, especially towards the back end of the comp. Newcastle has 6 home games from their last 8 rounds. Those final home games will be crucial in gaining momentum towards the final series.
Although there’s a trip to Townsville in early April, they do get to visit Canberra, Melbourne and the foot of the mountains all before winter hits. This is great for travelling supporters because that means no freezing the you know what’s on a cold winters night.
My last visit to Penrith Park was in the mid nighties and from what I have seen on TV, nothing much has changed. So maybe it’s time to visit the foot of the mountains again.
So if you’re travelling to an away game this season to support the boys, which ground will you go to? Will you go them all or are there some venues you avoid like the plague?
